Qualifications

Insight Global is seeking a Customer Order Program Manager for a leading heavy industrial manufacturing client. This individual will serve as the enterprise leader responsible for managing the complete customer order lifecycle across multiple manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading project and program management teams within a manufacturing or engineer-to-order environment and has a strong track record of building governance frameworks, standardizing processes, and driving portfolio performance.

This role will oversee a team of Project Managers while establishing the organization's standard for customer order execution. The Program Manager will be responsible for managing large custom equipment projects, monitoring portfolio health, driving schedule and budget accountability, and providing executive-level reporting to senior leadership. Success in this position requires exceptional communication skills, a highly customer-facing personality, and the ability to translate complex operational data into actionable business insights. Candidates with experience supporting heavy equipment, construction equipment, asphalt plants, concrete plants, or similar industrial manufacturing operations will be especially well-positioned for success.

Day-to-Day:

• Lead and manage a growing team of Customer Order Project Managers
• Establish and standardize the company's customer order management process across all manufacturing sites
• Own the enterprise customer order portfolio
• Monitor budget performance, project schedules, margins, and ROI
• Create executive-level reporting and dashboards for senior leadership
• Conduct governance reviews to identify risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints
• Develop project management templates, RAID logs, SOWs, and portfolio tools
• Drive PMO maturity and best practices across the organization
• Maintain frequent, proactive communication with customers throughout project lifecycles
• Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Sales teams
• Improve production lead times and delivery performance through project oversight
• Facilitate planning workshops and strategic portfolio reviews

Must-Haves:

• 6-8+ years of end-to-end Project/Program Management experience
• 2+ years of direct leadership/people management experience
• Manufacturing, industrial, engineer-to-order, or heavy equipment industry background
• Experience managing large-scale custom projects and portfolios
• Proven experience establishing PMO governance frameworks and standardized processes
• PMP Certification required
• Strong portfolio management and program management experience

• Expertise with Microsoft Project, Project Insight, Asana, or similar PM tools
