Job summary

PSEG Long Island seeks a data/finance analyst to enhance databases, perform budget and performance analysis, and produce reports for Revenue Operations. The role focuses on ensuring tariff compliance, regulatory requirements, and accurate data-driven decision making across the organization.

You will liaise between management and IT to translate complex technical issues into actionable business insights, supporting daily to monthly reporting and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and 2 years of analytical experience required; alternatively 6 years of analytical experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Tableau and SAP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with good driving history.
• Must demonstrate teamwork and initiative; compliance with 10 CFR 810.

Job Summary

This position will enhance existing or create new databases to perform calculations, organize and save data and create reports for various Revenue Operations groups. This position will also be responsible for helping an organization make sound operational decisions by analyzing budgets, business processes and performance data. Some job duties are but not limited to managing the Electric Energy Service Companies (ESCO) portfolio, and rate verifications. Ensure policies, process improvements and strategies are compliant with the tariff, with New York's Home Energy Fair Practices Act, and Uniformed Business Practices in the LIPA service territory. Monitor and disseminate any regulatory changes as implemented by LIPA, NY State or Federal Regulatory bodies. Accountable for analyzing data, developing reports as requested by management as related to the department’s achievement of various OSA metrics, or to meet various regulatory requirements. Devise strategies for business optimization, spearhead the development of processes, identify strengths and weaknesses, and offer recommendations on areas in need of improvement. Work as the go between with management and the IT department to communicate complex technical issues for innovative solutions; the creation of daily, weekly, monthly reports for Back Office Billing department. Conduct comprehensive data analysis using Microsoft Access and other analytical tools to identify trends, patterns, insights and develop reports as requested by management.

• Manage competing priorities and stakeholder requests while ensuring timely, accurate deliverables
• Track vendor contracts, invoices, and project expenditures
• Support special projects and other business initiatives as needed

Job Specific Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, Social Science, or a related discipline, and 2 years of experience performing analysis (e.g., data analysis, financial analysis, business analysis, or other relevant analytical work); in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience performing analysis may be considered
• Demonstrated proficiency in Access, Excel, Power Point, Word, Tableau and SAP
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Must have excellent verbal, quantitative and written communication skills
• Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and a safe and satisfactory driving history
• Must demonstrate a sense of teamwork and initiative
• Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required
