HRS Talent Solutions is seeking a Customer Message Escalation Assistant for remote support teams. The role focuses on careful communication, precise recordkeeping, and ensuring the next responsible team has all context to proceed.
Responsibilities include reviewing conversations, summarizing requests, and attaching prior communications to ongoing cases. This position emphasizes accuracy and clear status updates rather than solving every issue.
Remote customer support often begins with an ordinary question. Occasionally, a customer has already tried the usual steps or needs an answer that the first support team cannot give. The Customer Message Escalation Assistant keeps that transition clear: read the existing conversation, identify what remains unresolved, and send the right context to the colleague responsible for the next decision.
You are not expected to settle account disputes or invent a solution to an unfamiliar problem. The work is careful communication and recordkeeping. A useful escalation tells the receiving team what the customer requested, which information has already been shared, and what answer is still needed. It should also help the customer understand that the issue has been passed on without promising a result or a particular time.
You may receive a message from someone who has contacted support twice, an email that includes several questions, or a case returned by a colleague for one missing detail. Start with the history rather than asking the person to repeat everything. Check the online customer record and any approved guidance. If the information is incomplete, ask a focused question under the employer’s process. If the issue is ready for another team, summarize it in plain language and mark its current status accurately.
After the handoff, keep the case in the correct queue. A request that has been forwarded is not the same as one that has been resolved. If a reply comes back to the original inbox, attach it to the existing case and let the responsible colleague see what changed. Your short status notes make the conversation easier for the next person to continue.
A good escalation also needs the right level of detail. “Customer unhappy” is not enough for the next team to act, while a copy of every earlier sentence can obscure the actual question. State the reason for the handoff and include the relevant reference or prior step. If the customer raises a new issue while the first one is under review, note whether it belongs in the same case under the employer’s procedure. That way, the team can respond to the new concern without losing the original request.
Some customers want an immediate decision about an exception, a payment, or an account restriction. You can acknowledge the concern and explain the next step using approved wording. You cannot approve a change simply because the person is frustrated. This position rewards someone who listens carefully, records the facts, and knows when to stop guessing.
Clear written customer service is essential. You should be able to organize information from more than one email and use online case tools without mixing customer details. Office administration experience, including shared inboxes or task tracking, can help; direct experience in either area is useful but not required. Applicants with little experience are welcome. The employer can teach its escalation categories and systems, while you bring careful reading and courteous writing.
