The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in a related field, 3–8 years of logistics experience, and hands-on TMS (OTM/SAP TM). Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, KPI reporting, and stakeholder management is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• 3–8 years in transportation, logistics, or customer operations.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (OTM, SAP TM) or similar.
• Strong logistics operations experience including planning, tendering, and carrier management.
• Advanced Excel skills with analytics, reporting and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with KPI reporting, stakeholder management, and supply chain fundamentals; Power BI and SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily transportation execution for assigned customers and DCs.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and planning teams to resolve issues.
• Serve as primary transportation contact for assigned customers.
• Monitor KPIs: On-Time Delivery, CCOT, Spot %, Contract Compliance, Cost Performance.
• Develop weekly/monthly performance reporting and leverage data to improve reliability and cost.
• Support transportation projects, carrier sourcing events, and process improvements.

Our client, a leading consumer packaged goods company, is seeking a Customer Logistics Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with transportation management systems, carrier management, and shipment execution, along with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to drive operational performance across a complex logistics network.

Job Title: Customer Logistics Specialist
Location: Hoboken, NJ (Hybrid)
Contract: 12Months
Pay Range: $37 - $47 hourly

What's the Job?

• Manage daily transportation execution for assigned customers and distribution centers, ensuring shipments are planned, tendered, and delivered successfully.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, customer service, and planning teams to resolve transportation exceptions and service issues.
• Serve as the primary transportation contact for assigned customers while building strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor transportation KPIs including On-Time Delivery, CCOT, Spot %, Contract Compliance, and Cost Performance, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
• Develop weekly and monthly performance reporting and leverage data and analytics to improve transportation reliability, service, and cost efficiency.
• Support transportation projects, carrier sourcing events, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining accurate transportation records and system data.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-8 years of transportation, logistics, supply chain, or customer operations experience.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (OTM, SAP TM, or similar platforms).
• Strong transportation and logistics operations experience, including shipment planning, tendering, execution, and carrier management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical, reporting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with KPI reporting, performance management, customer service, stakeholder management, and supply chain fundamentals. Power BI and SAP experience preferred.
