Job summary

Responsibilities

• Receives customer EDI releases and enters manual orders into SAP.
• Handles customer shipment inquiries and communicates requirements across the organization.
• Notifies customers of shipments via ASN in the EDI system; fax ASN's as required.
• Maintains ASN Summary, Flash Projection, Firm Order Flash, and on-time delivery reports.
• Reviews Daily Trend Report with production before issuing monthly final; balances ASN and Delivery/Return reports.
• Tracks excess outbound freight for customer shipments and submits monthly reports.
• Participates in APQP processes as assigned by logistics manager.
• Coordinates with other departments to ensure timely program launches.
• Advises materials/production groups of changes to shipping plans.

Liaison with customers regarding scheduled requirements and shipments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILTIES:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Receives customer EDI releases. Monitors accuracy of same through SAP system. Enters manual orders (hard copy or fax) into SAP system.
• Handles customer shipment inquiries and communicate requirements throughout the organization. Informs customers of production/shipment shortfalls as they occur. Communicate with customers verbally and through electronic systems such as DDL.
• Notifies customers of shipments through ASN (Advanced Shipment Notification) in the EDI system. Fax ASN's to other customers as required.
• Maintain the following reports: ASN Summary Report (monthly), Flash Projection Report (monthly), Firm Order Flash Report (monthly), On Time Delivery Performance/Excess Freight (monthly).
• Review Daily Trend Report with production specialist before issuance of monthly final. This must be balanced with the ASN Report and Delivery and Return Report.
• Track and record excess outbound freight for customer shipments. Submit with On Time Delivery Performance / Excess Freight Report (monthly).
• Participant in APQP process as assigned by logistics manager.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth, timely launch of programs.
• Participate in production meetings. Advise materials and/or production group of any immediate changes to the shipping plan

Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four year college, university and five years related experience in a manufacturing environment.
