Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets in California is seeking a Security Officer to protect our premises, assets, team members, and visitors. You will patrol, deter threats, and enforce company policies with calm judgment and high integrity.

The role requires excellent communication, customer service, and the ability to respond to emergencies, write timely reports, and coordinate with local authorities. Travel between district locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Security Guard experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of Spanish and English (reading/writing/speaking).

Responsibilities

• Provide security to the business, occupants, customers, and vendors by patrolling and remaining visible.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Identify security risks, report irregularities, and restrain trespassers when needed.
• Write activity and incident reports documenting observations and events.
• Coordinate with local authorities, law enforcement, and emergency responders as required.
• Assist Asset Protection in preventing theft and shrink, and support shoplifting arrests when applicable.
