Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a store team member in New York who will help customers, stock and rotate merchandise, and greet shoppers. You will operate the cash register and bag purchases, while maintaining store cleanliness and visual displays.

The role involves unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and assisting with ordering using handheld scanners. A high school diploma is preferred, with good math and basic cash handling skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner; total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payments and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.
• Clean front end and help set up sidewalk displays.
