Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to act as the primary point of contact for customers, assist with merchandising, stocking, and cashier duties. Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-grams and merchandising guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures and math skills.
• Experience with IBM cash register functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise.
• Receive and unpack shipments, stock shelves, and rotate merchandise.
• Build and maintain merchandise displays and floor sets.
• Assist customers in locating items and answering questions.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise, handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, restrooms, and stockroom.
