Job summary

Dollar Tree in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, stock and maintain store cleanliness across shifts, while upholding safety and professional interactions with customers and staff.

The role requires strong customer service, organizational and communication skills, with a preference for those having prior retail or service experience. Part-time schedule and local store duties apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and coworkers.
• Keep the store clean, bathrooms cleaned, floors swept and mopped.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
