Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store associate to serve customers, stock merchandise, set up displays, and maintain plan-o-grams, while protecting company assets.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, assist shoppers, operate the register, process payments, and support merchandising with handheld scanners in a fast-paced environment. High attention to safety and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, and bag items; collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Clean front end and assist with sidewalk displays when necessary.
