Job summary

Dollar General is seeking-store associates to act as the primary point of contact for customers, assist in maintaining plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, building and rotating displays, assisting customers, and operating the cash register. This role supports teamwork and goal attainment in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise; maintain stock room and shelves.
• Follow processes to receive, open and unpack cartons; stock or display merchandise on sales floor.
• Build and maintain product displays; rotate and face merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Operate cash register and scan items; bag purchases and collect payment.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners as needed.
• Keep front end clean and set up sidewalk displays when required.
