Job summary

ALDI is seeking a store associate to support merchandising, stocking, cashier duties, and store cleanliness. You’ll work with the ALDI team to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a well-organized shopping experience.

The role requires 18+, high school diploma preferred, and prior retail exposure is helpful. Wage starts at $20.50/hour with scheduled increases over five years. This is a full-time position averaging 30+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc.
• Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks within timeframes.
• Ability to maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to meet availability requirements.

Responsibilities

• Merchandise and stock products to ensure attractive displays.
• Cashier duties and operation of the POS system.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist shoppers.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Open additional check lanes to improve checkout efficiency.
• Assist with curbside pickup orders and timely deliveries.
• Follow merchandising plans to maximize sales.
• Adhere to all store policies and loss prevention measures.
• Support management in achieving efficiency and safety goals.
