Job summary

North Atlantic Corp. is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in Needham, MA to be the first contact for walk-in customers, contractors, and phone inquiries. You will build customer relationships, prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate projects from inquiry to delivery.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, product knowledge, attention to detail, and cross-department communication to support profitability and future advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• Required high school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years in millwork, building materials, construction products, or related industry.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience reading construction plans or blueprints preferred.
• Knowledge of windows, doors, millwork, kitchens, stairs, or related building products preferred.
• Experience with ERP or order entry systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in customers and answer calls professionally.
• Respond to voicemails and emails promptly.
• Build relationships by identifying customer needs.
• Educate customers on products and solutions; recommend fits.
• Prepare accurate quotations; negotiate pricing.
• Convert quotations to sales orders and ensure a great customer experience.
• Process orders accurately and completely.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders.
• Assist Outside Sales with material takeoffs when trained.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new staff on front desk procedures.
