Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and product information to help them find items.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend products to meet their needs.
• Check product quality and freshness, review sell by dates, and take action as needed.
• Stock, label, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain awareness of ads and seasonal promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Respond to customer questions and provide product knowledge throughout the store.
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and respected.
• Support safety programs and report unsafe conditions to management.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and notify managers of repairs.
• Handle customer and employee incidents and escalate as appropriate.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly.
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information.
