Job summary

ShopRite of Governors Square is seeking a friendly cashier to deliver excellent customer service at the front end. You will proficiently scan, bag, and process payments while maintaining a clean, organized checkout area.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling various payment methods, and ensuring accuracy in pricing and change. This role requires standing for long shifts and adhering to safety and attendance policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, accurate checkout service and collect proper payment.
• Scan, price and bag products accurately and efficiently.
• Handle cash, credit, checks, EBT and other payments per company guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Greet customers and deliver prompt service.
• Adhere to company policies, safety rules, and attendance requirements.
• Assist with stocking and other duties as assigned.
