Job summary

Chartwells K-12 is seeking a Food Service Worker to prepare, present and serve meals, ensuring quality and proper presentation in our food service operations. You will perform prep work, assist with cashiering, maintain sanitation, and help deliver friendly service to customers, with emphasis on safety and temperature control.

You may work in retail areas or dining lines, and you will follow food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Familiar with cash register usage.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good command of English, verbal and written.
• Experience in healthcare/ hotel/ restaurant/ fast food is an asset.
• Physical ability to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, wash, peel, cut and seed fruits/vegetables.
• Carry pans, kettles and trays safely between stations.
• Store and rotate food using wrapping, dating and safety procedures.
• Set up daily items for purchase.
• Clean and dispose of trash; distribute supplies.
• Provide service in retail areas including cashiering.
• Address customer concerns and relay information to supervisor.
• Ensure sanitation and safety compliance.
