Job summary

Orgain Building Supply is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to safely transport building materials to job sites, communicate with dispatch and customers, and maintain accurate documentation. You will load and unload, operate forklifts where needed, perform pre-trip inspections, follow safety rules, meet delivery schedules, and build strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean driving record preferred.
• Familiarity with maps, GPS, and route planning.
• Strong problem solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Able to lift and move up to 60lbs; loading/unloading freight.
• Proficiency in operating unloading equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.

Responsibilities

• Drive and deliver building materials to job sites.
• Load and secure cargo; unload freight using appropriate equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Operate delivery vehicles and unloading equipment (e.g., forklifts).
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and cargo details.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and team members about delivery status.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and optimize routes for efficiency.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and obtain signatures/receipts.
• Other duties as assigned.
