Chatham County is seeking a Collection Center Attendant to support daily operations at our collection centers. You will greet visitors, assist with their needs, enforce rules, and help keep sites clean and safe.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to work in varying weather, and clear communication. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a courteous, professional demeanor and reliable teamwork are valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate collection centers, open/close, keep clean, follow rules and procedures.
• Check decals to verify eligibility and inform visitors accordingly.
• Manage containers, inspect loads, direct to correct containers, remove mis-placed items.
• Communicate policy details to visitors and provide excellent customer service.
• Monitor on-site traffic and ensure safety with PPE usage.
• Perform light custodial duties and report issues to staff.
