Job summary

Hy-Vee in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Checker/Stocker to support customers at the register and keep shelves stocked. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, handle payments, and provide friendly service throughout your shift.

This hourly role involves stocking, price lookups, and helping with promotions, while staying active and engaged in a fast-paced retail environment. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions and work through tasks with a few concrete variables.
• Perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing.
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and helping them as needed.
• Operate the cash register accurately and process payments of various types.

• Stock shelves, rotate products, and assist with displays and promotions.
