Job summary

Hy-Vee Checker/Stocker in Iowa serves customers at the register and keeps shelves stocked for a smooth shopping experience. You’ll handle transactions, assist customers, and contribute to a clean, well-organized store environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating products, and supporting promotions while following store policies and safety guidelines. Training is provided for all new hires, and you will work as part of a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• No education or experience required; training provided.
• Ability to stand and perform routine tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle material handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and provide friendly service at the register.
• Operate the cash register and process payments (cash, cards, checks, coupons, food stamps, WIC).
• Count back change, issue receipts, and handle returns or credits as needed.
• Assist with shelf stocking, merchandise rotation, and displaying products.
• Support courtesy personnel, drive-up and carry-out services; help customers locate items.
• Maintain cleanliness of the register area and report cash discrepancies.
• Assist in other store areas and participate in special promotions.
