Job summary

Cub Rochester East is seeking a dedicated part-time cashier to handle front-end checkout, assist customers, and process transactions accurately and promptly.

You will scan products, manage tender types and coupons, handle voids/returns, answer questions, keep the front end clean, and work varied evening shifts including weekends.

The position requires standing for long periods, the ability to follow verbal instructions, and a commitment to friendly, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• The position requires ongoing customer interaction and delivering prompt, courteous and accurate service.
• Good judgment is required when supervision may not be immediately available.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Perform product scanning and processing of customer order in an accurate, efficient and prompt manner.
• Ensure proper handling of all forms of tender and coupons.
• Ensure accurate handling of all voids, returns, refunds and exchanges.
• Assist with customer questions or requests.
• Assist with front end maintenance and cleaning.
