Federated Co-ops, Inc. is seeking a friendly cashier who delivers excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. The role requires the ability to multi-task, follow directions, learn quickly, and adapt to busy hours.

Experience is preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate. Summary: Receives cash from customers or employees for goods or services by performing standard cashier duties and ensuring accuracy in transactions, reporting, and records.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
• Must follow directions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new tasks and policies.

Responsabilités

• Computes or re-computes bill amounts and itemized lists for customers.
• Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts.
• Records amounts received and prepares transaction reports.
• Reads and verifies totals on cashier tape against cash on hand.
• Quotes price and describes features of items to customers.
• Gives refunds or issues credit memos for returns.
• Operates cash register by scanning items and displaying totals, tax, and rebates.
