SpartanNash seeks a part-time cashier at Family Fare in Grandville, MI to operate the register, scan items, bag purchases, and assist customers with a courteous, accurate checkout experience.

You will handle cash and card payments, apply coupons, and help maintain a clean, organized front-end. Prior retail experience and strong communication skills are preferred to deliver excellent guest service daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsabilités

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handles a variety of products.
• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, coupons.
• Weigh and carefully bag customer purchases.
• Understand use of check-stand equipment and its efficient operation.
• Maintain front-end duties such as merchandising check-stand.
• Ensure proper use of product identification and pricing; report pricing errors.
• Communicate store programs, in-store specials and coupons to customers.
• Maintain a clean and well-stocked department; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
