Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a front-end team member to deliver exceptional customer experiences in Sioux Falls. The cashier will greet customers, handle transactions and returns, and promote loyalty programs with a strong emphasis on accuracy and service.

You will support store operations and maintain a welcoming environment for teammates and shoppers alike. Ideal candidates bring prior retail or cashier experience, can stand for extended periods, and are comfortable with repetitive tasks

Qualifications

Prior retail sales, cashier, or customer-focused experience preferred.
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 15 to 35 lbs. occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
Ability to work extended periods of time standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).

Responsibilities

Greet everyone and proactively approach customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
Process customer sales transactions and returns in accordance with established Front-End procedures.
Promote company programs (customer loyalty, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
Adhere to policies related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
