Brookshire Grocery Company seeks a front-end associate to handle efficient checkout, bag groceries, and assist customers. You will verify prices, manage tender transactions, and promote customer loyalty programs while upholding safety and store policies.

Ideal candidates will be 16 or older with basic math skills and the ability to multitask in a busy retail environment. On-the-job training and relevant certifications are available where applicable.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct checkout totals by weighing, keying, and scanning items; maintain accurate register money count.
• Access product codes; stay informed about ads and special items.
• Follow tender policies for checks, credit, debit, coupons, EBT, WIC, etc.
• Provide friendly customer service; greet customers and respond to questions.
• Promote enrollment in Thank You Card program and assist with sign-up.
• Bag groceries properly; group like items and manage bag weight.
• Handle items carefully to prevent damage.
• Keep front-end racks, drink coolers, and cleaning supply stations stocked and presentable.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary shopping environment per safety procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies; comply with local, state, and federal laws for restricted items.
