Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Cashier to be the face of the store, handling transactions quickly and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. You will assist customers, answer questions, stock shelves occasionally, and maintain a clean checkout area.

The role requires 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years cashiering experience, and strong math and cash-handling skills. Flexible scheduling includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs., and move carts up to 35 lbs. for extended periods.
• Proficient in cash handling and mathematical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process each customer’s order quickly, accurately, and efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer cash, credit/debit payments, and change.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their complaints.
• Follow front end procedures; assist with stocking, facing and dusting as needed.
• Maintain checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition and communicate with front end manager.
