Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a store associate to assist customers with purchases, donations, and store inquiries. You will operate a cash register, collect and balance cash, and prepare receipts and deposits to ensure accurate sales records.

You will also maintain a neat checkout area, explain store policies, and help load donations when needed. Prior retail experience and reliable attendance support success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required or equivalent experience in retail.
• Experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers purchasing items by ringing up sales and handling money.
• Prepare and balance cash drawer; issue receipts and deposits as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized checkout area and ensure security of funds and records.
• Assist with donations, direct customers to loading areas, and provide tax receipts as required.
