Job summary

Mountain View Co-op (MVC) is seeking a part-time C-Store Clerk to be the first point of contact for customers. You will deliver excellent service, process transactions, and support daily store operations in a safe, compliant environment.

The role reports to the Location Manager and requires handling POS systems, cash control, and stock maintenance while upholding MVC's safety standards and policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Forklift Certification or ability to obtain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a positive customer experience through courteous interactions with customers and vendors.
• Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating as needed.
• Accurately operate the POS system and maintain cash control procedures.
• Follow MVC's credit and cash handling policies.
• Ensure the store is properly stocked, merchandised, and faced.
• Rotate and monitor perishable products in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including sales floor and work areas.
• Inform customers of promotions and safety procedures; suggest related products.
• Assist in facility and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of transactions and resolve discrepancies.
