Job summary

CBS Bank in Pulaski, TN seeks a Customer Ambassador with teller duties and some responsibilities in new accounts to provide quality, face-to-face service. You will process routine transactions, cash checks, accept deposits, and guide customers to the right banking solutions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, cash drawer balancing, and adherence to internal controls. You will reference bank products, pursue cross-sell opportunities, and support leadership in community outreach and client retention.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• One year of teller experience or relevant work experience required.
• Ability to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality customer service through courteous and accurate handling of transactions.
• Performs specialized tasks such as preparing cashier's checks, cash advances, and ATM balancing.
• Identifies customers, validates and cashes checks, accepts cash and checks for deposit, and checks accuracy of deposit slips.
• Accurately balances assigned cash drawer.
• May serve as Vault Teller or Vault Teller Backup.
• May be responsible for operating and balancing a Teller Cash Recycler (TCR).
• Ensures compliance with all internal controls and policies and procedures
• Answers inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products; attempts to resolve issues and problems with customer's accounts
• Develops knowledge of bank products through independent study and training
• Completes all required monthly and quarterly training
• Balances and reports negotiable instrument logs as outlined
• Provides a complete range of customer services including opening new accounts and processing direct deposits
• Receives deposits and ensures proper processing
• Establishes retirement accounts and arrangements for direct deposits
• Completes arrangements for foreign currency exchanges
• Carries out client retention strategies and proactively prospects for new business
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
