Job summary

Weis Markets in Pennsylvania is seeking an energetic Associate to greet customers, answer questions, and help resolve concerns while scanning items and processing payments at the register.

You will identify and fulfill customer orders to ensure freshness and accuracy, operate front-end equipment, follow weekly ads and promotions, maintain sanitation, and cooperate with coworkers to keep the department and store running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions, and helps resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Identifies and shops customer orders to ensure accurate and fresh delivery.
• Operates Front End scanning equipment and register, performs all related check out procedures including properly bagging merchandise and placing merchandise in customer's cart.
• Contacts customers by phone to address questions or concerns.
• Operates console and picker devices to ensure accuracy.
• Maintains knowledge of weekly ads, marketing promotions and store layout to answer customer questions.
• Maintains accuracy during the transaction, ensuring the customer is charged for all items and appropriate funds are collected, follows security measures.
• Responsible for general sanitation in the department, follows cleaning schedules to meet health and OSHA requirements.
• Cooperates with co-workers and superiors to ensure smooth department and store operations.
• Utilizes PPE provided and follows safety guidelines.
• May assist in other departments.
