Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Sales Associate to serve as the primary contact for customers in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and maintain store appearance to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Key duties include greeting customers, processing purchases, stocking and displaying merchandise, and maintaining a clean store. High school diploma preferred; strong math and safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to operate a cash register and basic math.
• Ability to read plan-of-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
• Experience with IBM cash registers.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and greet customers.
• Operate cash register and process purchases, collect payment and make change.
• Stock, restock, and rotate merchandise on shelves and build displays.
• Clean the store and assist with store upkeep and cleanliness.
• Assist with price labeling and merchandise displays as needed.
