Job summary

Duchess is seeking friendly, motivated Team Members for 2nd & 3rd shifts at Rt 13 in Newark, OH. As a cashier you’ll welcome customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store clean and inviting.

No prior retail experience required; you’ll learn modern POS systems, loyalty program benefits, and safety rules. Flexible FT or PT schedules, with opportunities for growth and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused mindset—you love helping people.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible scheduling.
• Previous retail or food service experience is a plus, but not required.
• Comfort with technology—we use modern tools to make work easier.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with a smile and friendly conversation.
• Process transactions using POS systems (cash, credit, debit, mobile payments).
• Maintain a clean and organized store inside and out.
• Stock shelves and manage inventory to help customers find what they need.
• Follow safety and compliance regulations for tobacco, alcohol, lottery and other sales.
• Promote Duchess Crown Card Rewards loyalty program.
• Use technology to assist customers, track inventory, and improve efficiency.
• Duties may include walking, standing, squatting, lifting, carrying, and reaching in variable environments.
