Job summary

Kroger Co. is seeking a customer-focused team member at our Longview, WA store. You will assist customers, answer questions, stock and locate products, and maintain a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will also help with bagging, loading, and checkout support while upholding company policies and safety standards. This on-site role emphasizes helping customers, reducing shrink, and collaborating with Front-end teams to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet the minimum physical demands of the position.
• Must be 16 or older.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math: counting, addition, and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Answer questions to help customers and explain products.
• Gain knowledge of products and suggest options.
• Assist with customer requests and locating products.
• Greet customers, assist with bagging, and thank customers.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Follow bagging preferences and use appropriate bags.
• Offer loading assistance to customers.
• Control shrink and follow shrink initiatives.
• Retrieve carts and manage routing of carts.
• Know store layout and perform price checks for cashiers.
• Observe scheduled shift hours.
• Maintain a positive, friendly attitude.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Log and execute safety sweeps and report risks or incidents.
• Maintain cleanliness across lobbies, restrooms, sales floor and parking area.
• Report safety risks, theft or fraud.
• Collaborate with Front-end associates.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines.
