The Kroger family of companies is seeking a Grocery Clerk to create outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe store environment in Carmel, IN. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales targets and ensure quality assurance standards are met.

Responsibilities include helping customers, stocking shelves, checking dates, and enforcing food safety guidelines while staying informed about current ads and promotions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Ability to follow directions and safety procedures.

• Assist customers in discovering items and answering product questions.
• Inform customers of specials and recommend grocery items to meet their needs.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Provide fresh and non-perishable products as ordered by customers.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; adhere to safety regulations.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers; maintain temperature logs.
• Respond to customer questions and suggest products within the department.
• Create an inviting environment so customers feel welcome and valued.
