HMSHost in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Fast Food Attendant to perform a range of duties in a fast food / snack bar setting. You will greet customers, take orders, handle transactions, and assist the kitchen and stock areas. This is a non-exempt, on-site role with opportunities for growth and development.

The position requires the ability to lift over 40 lbs, stand for long periods, and maintain strict food-handling procedures. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand for normal job functions.
• Ability to lift/push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents, and converse confidently with customers.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take food orders, upsell where possible.
• Operate cash register and handle payments, give correct change, follow cash handling policies.
• Clean and stock work area and assist in kitchen tasks as needed.
• Reconcile transactions and move supplies between storage and work areas.
• Maintain knowledge of products and services offered in the unit.
