AC&T Co. Inc. in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a store associate to serve customers promptly in a busy convenience environment. The role requires maintaining friendly customer relations, accurate cash handling, and adherence to store policies.

Responsibilities include inventory control, following laws on alcohol/tobacco and lottery, maintaining a clean, well-merchandised store, and reporting to the Store Manager. Weekend and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age or have a work permit.
• Speak, read, understand and write the English language.
• Be able to perform mathematical calculations in order to make change and tally shifts.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stock shelves.
• Willing to work weekends, holidays and extended hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintains proper customer relations and service.
• Maintains contact with the Store Manager.
• Maintains authorized store hours as determined by the General Office.
• Adheres to all store procedures and policies; including security and cash handling.
• Maintain inventory control and store records.
• Safekeeping of company property and equipment.
• Follow state and federal laws concerning alcohol, tobacco, lottery and food service.
• Direct accountability to Supervisor or Manager on a shift-to-shift basis.
