Job summary

Fleet Farm in the United States is seeking friendly, self-motivated cashiers to provide a quick and efficient check-out experience while following all policies and procedures to reduce shrink. You will operate the cash register, greet customers with a smile, and promote loyalty programs.

Responsibilities include handling cash and other payment methods, maintaining brand standards at the front end, and engaging customers throughout the transaction to create a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Previous retail experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures, including simple math.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a quick and efficient check-out experience, including operating the cash register and scanner to itemize and total customers purchase and bag merchandise.
• Engage customers in a friendly manner, including greeting with a smile and creating a pleasant interaction throughout the entire transaction.
• Cashiers are outgoing and engaging. Must love working with people.
• Process and handle monetary transactions including cash, check, gift card, credit/debit card, etc.
• Extend offers for the Extended Protection Policy for qualifying items.
• Maintain brand standards at the front end area and sales floor.
• Positive promotion of Fleet Farm customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
