Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a friendly cashier to provide outstanding customer service and accurate cash handling in our retail store. You will model our values and support a clean, organized front end.

Key duties include processing transactions, following policies for refunds, and helping with store tasks to ensure safety and sanitation. Experience in customer service is desirable, and ability to stand/walk for long periods is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and handle cash accurately.
• Enforce store standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, safety, and sanitation.
• Process transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
• Follow policies for cash voids, refunds, and recall transactions.
• Maintain personal appearance and presentation of Front End area.
• Assist with training and compliance procedures (WIC, Checks, Liquor, Tobacco).
• Ensure cashier productivity and meet store goals.
• Support loss prevention and safety initiatives.
• Perform other store duties as needed.
