Job summary

King Soopers is seeking a customer-focused Cashier/Checker in Colorado to greet customers, process transactions, and provide exceptional service. The role requires knowledge of basic math and adherence to store policies, including restricted items and loss prevention procedures.

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, handling various tender types, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers. Prior experience as a bagger or courtesy clerk is a plus.

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).

Responsibilities

• Cashier/Checker greets, engages and assists customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Understand POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons).
• Follow policies on cash handling, shortages and loss prevention.
• Adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
