• Ability to read, write and perform simple math operations.

• Stand for the duration of a shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide premier customer service at checkout and greet customers.
• Accurately total merchandise and complete transactions using a cash register.
• Follow procedures for sale of alcohol and cigarettes.
• Bag groceries and handle items properly.
• Accept payments, provide change and receipts as needed.
• Handle cash and other tender accurately.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and answer questions.
• Stock and face shelves; keep register area clean.
• Answer phones and operate intercom with proper etiquette.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
