Job summary

Kroger Co. in Port Hadlock, WA is seeking a customer-focused cashier/checker to create an outstanding experience for shoppers. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain a safe and clean store environment.

You will use the POS system to handle various payment methods and adhere to company policies to minimize losses. Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus. The role offers on-site work with flexible scheduling across full-time and part-time opportunities,

Qualifications

Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
Experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet, engage and assist customers in a fast-paced environment.
Process transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently at the check lane.
Understand and operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons, and loyalty offers according to policy.
Follow loss prevention guidelines and adhere to cash shortage/overage limits.
Comply with age-restricted items guidelines (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
Keep the store clean and safe and assist customers with product questions.
