Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Redmond, WA is seeking a cashier to deliver friendly, efficient service at the register and help promote PCC membership. You will process payments, scan items, and assist customers with a positive, engaging attitude.

This role requires basic math, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stand for long periods while lifting up to 40 lbs. Weekend shifts and varied hours are common, with benefits in place for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, mid-day shifts and weekends.
• Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Previous retail or public customer contact experience desired; background in cashiering or retail grocery industry preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service at the register.
• Scan and key items, receive and process payments per PCC standards.
• Perform basic math and 10-key entries accurately.
• Promote PCC membership and programs to customers.
• Bag groceries and maintain an orderly register area.
• Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards are met.
