Job summary

PCC Community Markets is seeking a Cashier to provide excellent, professional customer service at the Green Lake Aurora Seattle location. You will process orders and payments accurately, promote PCC membership, and support a welcoming checkout experience.

The role requires flexibility to work mornings, mid-day shifts and weekends, basic math skills and ability to stand for long periods. A Food Worker Card is required by the state. Starting wage is $21.55 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work mornings, mid-day shifts and weekends.
• Must demonstrate basic math skills and proficiency at 10-key.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Previous retail or public customer contact experience preferred; cashiering or retail grocery background.
• Must meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting 10-40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Accurately and efficiently scan and key items into register; receive and process payments.
• Perform basic math and 10-key proficiency.
• Communicate about PCC membership and programs.
• Handle merchandise returns.
• Bag groceries according to PCC guidelines.
• Maintain an orderly appearance at the register.
• Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met.
