Job summary

Kota is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success. You will collaborate with customers to design and deploy Kota’s developer products, write production-grade code, and influence product direction.

This highly customer-facing role requires hands-on work with APIs/SDKs, cross-functional teamwork, and a bias for action in a fast-moving environment. Remote-friendly with benefits including WFH stipend.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar engineering role with customer-facing work.
• Ability to write production code in TypeScript, Python, or C# (multilingual is a plus).
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers’ engineering teams to integrate Kota’s SDKs and APIs.
• Translate customer needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
• Build internal tools and reusable code to improve APIs/SDKs.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success for successful deployments.
• Act as the technical voice of the customer to shape features and roadmap decisions.
• Debug complex issues across multiple systems, APIs, and data flows.
