Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a retail associate to serve customers, stock and display merchandise, and operate the register. You will unload trucks, process shipments, assist with locating items, and maintain store cleanliness.

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with basic math and cash handling skills essential to daily operations. The role involves standing, walking, and light lifting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face merchandise on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard and take out trash; dust and mop store floors; clean restroom and stockroom.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment from customer and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays when necessary.
