Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our store team in California. You will process orders quickly and accurately, handle cash and card payments, and help customers find products.

You will also assist with stocking, maintain clean checkout areas, and stay informed about weekly specials. A strong communication style and teamwork are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years of cashiering experience.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to operate front end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious tasks, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move carts up to 35 lbs. for up to 50 hours.
• Proficient in cash handling and basic math; able to read, write, and count.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently to ensure satisfaction.
• Handle payments (cash, credit/debit) and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Assist with stocking shelves, facing, and dusting as needed.
• Maintain checkout areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Know weekly ad items and guide customers to product locations.
• Communicate with front end manager and Head Cashier; support event activities.
• Provide information to customers and resolve complaints as needed.
