Job summary

KPH HEALTHCARE SERVICES, INC is seeking a cashier to efficiently ring up customer purchases and ensure total customer satisfaction in a busy retail environment.

The role involves scanning with the POS register, processing payments, assisting customers with large purchases, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean checkout area. Training and adherence to store standards are required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using the POS register.
• Provide accurate change to customers.
• Close out the register at end of shift per procedure.
• Request additional help to maintain customer service levels.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carryouts.
• Replenish inventory from in-store stock and incoming orders.
• Maintain a clean checkout area and general store cleanliness.
• Answer the phone with proper greeting and service.
• Assist in pricing, merchandising, and inventory of the checkout area.
• Respond to potential shoplifters following policy.
• Assist in implementing Kinney Standard of Presentation (Merchandising).
• Assist in ordering replacement products from suppliers.
• Identify and return outdated or overstocked merchandise to sources.
• Package and prepare items for home/business delivery.
• Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
