Job summary

Responsibilities include operating the POS system, providing accurate change, assisting customers with large orders, and helping with store merchandising and inventory tasks as needed.

• Experience handling cash, checks, and card transactions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately scan and ring out all customer purchases using POS register and accept cash, checks, and card payments.
• Provide correct change to customers.
• Close out the register at end of shift following procedures.
• Assist customers with large purchases and carry-out deliveries when needed.
• Replenish inventory and restock from in-store/ incoming orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of checkout area and store sections.
• Answer phones with proper greeting and assist customers as needed.
• Support in inventory management, pricing, and merchandising at checkout area.
• Identify and respond to potential shoplifting per company policy.
