Job summary

Dollar General Corporation seeks an associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, and support store operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will unload trucks, build displays, assist customers, check out purchases, and help with stocking and cleanliness. This role emphasizes teamwork and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.

• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise in stock room or move to sales floor.
• Build and stock merchandise displays; rotate and face products on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and handheld scanner to total purchases and bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
