Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a retail associate to serve as the primary point of contact for customers, assist with plan-o-gram compliance, and stock merchandise across the store. You will greet customers, operate the cash register, bag purchases, and handle payments while maintaining clean, organized floor and stock areas.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking shelves, creating displays, and assisting with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; store merchandise or move to sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays.
• Stock merchandise; rotate and face on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Bail cardboard, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockrooms.
• Greet customers.
• Operate cash register and flatbed scanner to itemize and total purchases; bag merchandise.
• Collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using hand-held scanners, as needed.
• Clean front end of store and help set up sidewalk displays.
